MEET Network Exchanges Knowledge and Tools with IUCN Med PPI-OSCAN Project

On Wednesday, the 23rd of June 2021, IUCN Med hosted a webinar on ecotourism development and the MEET Network for civil society organisations participating in PPI OSCAN (Small scale initiatives for Civil Society Organisations in North Africa). 

The MEET Network, PPIOSCAN and IUCN Med organised the webinar and gave a brief introduction to MEET´s experience, methods and tools for ecotourism development. Following this, MEET Ambassadors, Elton Caushi, Albanian Trip, Pascal Abdallah, Responsible Mobilities and Aymen Louhichi, Tunisia Ecotourism, opened up a panel discussion and shared their experiences working with MEET and using the networks tools and resources to develop ecotourism in Mediterranean Protected Areas. The panel discussion ignited an engaging debate between the eighteen participants on collaboration between the private sector and civil society for ecotourism development around Protected Areas, and setting the basis for future projects and opportunities.
